Quick HFL question

Quick HFL question
After I say Dial "Home" or whatever I get a voice prompt per the manual that says say "call or dial". The voice recognition, which understands me perfectly for every other function does not "hear" me saying call or dial. However, if I hold the top "off hook" button down it will dial the call. I don't see that anywhere in the documentation. Is this normal? Thanks.

I think it reccomends you NOT using 1 sylable words for address book entries as the voice recognition could be confused. You could try a short pause after you say 'call' before saying 'home' - it's probably not hearing the second part of your command.
If you hit the HFL button, and just say 'call', thats the response you get.
fwiw - I say 'CALL' when using my address book, and 'DIAL' when I'm dialing with numbers.

On my 2004's original HFL, I had an entry for 'home' and it was hit-or-miss whether it understood me or not. I got the HFL module replaced with a newer one and it wouldn't even let me create an entry called 'home.' It said it sounded too much like other words it understood, or something like that. So, I call it 'my house' and it always works. I just say, "Call my house," as if I was speaking to another person. When it comes up with the confirmation, I press and hold the HFL button until it says, "calling." I prefer this to having to say, "Yes" to it. I was often frustrated by this exchange:
Me: Call my house
HFL: Would you like to call 'my house'?
Me: Yes
HFL: Pardon?
Pressing and holding instead of saying yes is much better for me.
