Mine are recessed as well. With the dual 15s I don't think it would be possible to attach to the braces.

I didn't think u would need any other design either. During my build I saw the room and all the possibilities in the panel and almost regret not going with a dual sub set up, but all turned out very nice in the end.

Maybe. I know mine were in there corner to corner, lip to lip and tight as can be...(we are talking about INFINITE BAFFLES, right) And I also cushioned some corners with the carpet once installed. It ended up working amazingly! I believe that was the difference!

Question....

Is the acoustic output of an IB setup is mostly effected by cone area and excursion? How much does power rating have to do with output? I just checked out the IDMax and holy cow what an impressive 12" woofer! No idea how I've never heard of this brand before.

Now I dislike subjective/theoretical questions as much as the next guy, but how much more output would you get out of two 15" IDMax vs one 12" IDMax? Or is this an absolutely ridiculous question? Lol.

When my destruction to oblivion occurred to my IDQ12, I was recommended my Jerry/Niebur to try the IDMAX12... and yeah, my impression was the exact same as soon as I open the pkg...WOW! And when put to use, nothing less of the same...WOW! the only thing I asked was why didn't I go with this beast to begin with ...
