Questions about Navi conversion

This has probably been asked.. but Im also not afraid to admit that im lazy when it comes to searching the vast amount of threads to find the answer im looking for... So i've been debating buying a users 04 navi to make the conversion on my 05 base... but should I wait to find a newer year model navi? .. say 07-08, is there any significant difference in the older model navi VS. newer models besides the rear-cam. If im gonna drop this much money and invest the time to get this done I want it to be right, and still be able to get in an 07-08 and be ok with not having a newer model setup. I know your probably thinking.. well just get the newer setup.. well at the same time I dont want to spend extra money for subtle differences. I know you guys will point me in the right direction.. lets hear it

if your to lazy to search then I doubt you can install it yourself. In short, talk to martin, he sells conversion kits on ebay for around 2K. Get the 07 one and have him put it in for you.

its not hostility, it's doing the proper thing vs. making members repeat info a million times. Here, I did a search for you and came up with this in less than 30 seconds it took you to type up this post:

This forum is meant to help people with them trying a little bit, and with that search I typed in "nav conversion" nothing too difficult. It isn't meant for us to spoon feed you information about everything.

i'll tell you this buying a parts car for just the navi is a far worse idea than paying 2k to get it done.
