Question: Capacitor digital display always on?
Question: Capacitor digital display always on?
Hey Guys,
I just got a capacitor installed in my car with my car stereo (SPL C2.0) and I just noticed when I opened my trunk with the key not in the ignition that the digital display was on displaying the voltage.
Is this the case with cap's that have a digital display? Are they always on?

caps are made to discharge when the car has no charging system on.... so they will stay on until the discharge is complete.... I recommend putting an isolator in so that it doesnt take away from the battery power because it really does affect it..... even though people say it doesnt.....trust me it does.....an isolator is one of those massive relays.....charges about 200 amps so that the cap doesnt pull power directly from the battery.
