Question Question on Audio...

Would it make a difference if i was to change the front & rear speaker with an aftermarket but w/no amp running the speakers? Because from my experience with other cars i own i would just add an aftermarket deck and sub or just a sub and everything would be in-tune with each other. And right now i have 12's, seems like i would have to turn it up really high to hear the words, and no the gain on the amp for the subs is not high, I have it to where it gives me the right bass amount to where i like it.

Might want to try the Audio Sub-forum

It would be hard to find quality 8ohm speakers if you just replace them. Don't cheap out, get a amp that will make the replacement speakers sound like you upgraded the system.

Actually, the door and rear deck speakers are 2ohm not 8. But still, you won't have a easy time finding them. If you want real sound, go with a aftermarket amp and some good speakers.

thanks guys I'm pretty sure adding the amp would do the job but i guess just slapping them in wouldn't make a difference then.
