Question about Viper 791XV

ok so i bought a Viper 791xv with the motion sensor and voice and i was just wondering if their is any way to adjust the sensitivity because it is overly sensitive if a cat walks by it says protected by viper stand back then if a leaf falls on it... it triggers a full alarm

lately ive resorted to just turning it off all together and i cant have that living in the city

if any1 has any suggestions pls let me know

There is a sensitivity adjusting screw on the proximity sensor. If it's a dual zone prox it will have two adjustments. One for interior (full trigger) and one for exterior (warn away). It sound like your interior adjustment is set too far out. I would turn both of the settings down a little and test it out.

I've never been a fan of proximity sensors. Too many false alarms. I rarely off the prox to my customers anymore. It's a great way to take the "peace of mind" right out of a great car alarm.

yeah there is. there is a plastic screw on your motion sensor that u can adjust. I had the Viper 5000vx model and i was able to adjust the sensitivity of the alarm from the remote as well.
