I just bought my 04 TL a couple of days ago and I am thinking about the USA Spec Aux in adapter.

I know that after you turn off the car, the ipod will charge on it's own for an hour.

I was wondering, isn't this bad for the battery life of the car?
So, is there a way you can stop this function?

Also, I live in NYC Queens, and I was wondering if there was a local shop that anyone would recommend I take my car and do this install. I would rather pay someone to this than mess it up myself.

I don't know about battery life of the car. I doubt it will affect it much.

The charging current it draws fro the battery will use considerably less then 1% of battery capacity. No reason to be concerned
