Question about stock ampl

I plan on adding aftermarkets amplifiers to my system. What I need to know is if the inputs to the stock amp are low level or high level?

If they are high, I would need an LOC to convert to RCA inputs to my amps. But what would I do if they are already low? I do not want to take the speaker level inputs on the output of the stock amp, because that might created noise and distortion on an already processed signal...Any help here would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Are you doing this with amped subs and speakers or just subs? Distoriton is harded to pick up with subs? No noise issues though? Thanks for your quick reply.

ashaman,
This topic is brought up a lot, do a search. To answer your question. It's low level, and a great place to get a nice signal to tap into for RCA's to your new amps! Mine sounds great, and no converters are needed, just a moded amp RCA wire.
