question about night/day setting
is there a way to have the nav screen go into 'night' mode at a certain time? I drive with my parking lights on during the day and have it set to 'automatic' but then in the day, i cant read a dark nav screen. it would be great if i could set the nav to go into 'night' at 8;00 for example. thanks for the help!

Hey cyb204 - i don't think this could be done. There's a sensor by your windshield that tells the system to "switch" automatically (when switch is left on auto mode)...but as far as i know, we can't set it to a designated time.

The sensor is for the headlights, nor just the navi screen. I never use the auto option on my headlights.
I like how the RL and the new tsx and I think the new TL too has a switch on the navi to rapidly switch between night and day mode which is very nice and convenient in my opinion
You can try to use the max button on the left side of your steering wheel, it does what we want but also makes the instrument panel max bright...

Manual says that you can toggle between day/night mode while driving by pushing & holding the joystick for 10 secs., then the screen changes...
Wish I had read this before yesterday, when I had to use the nav during the day when I had the headlights on while it was raining.... You can see I'm still coming to grips with all the gadgets after 6 weeks of ownership!
