Question about CD/DVD-A changer...

Would the DVD/6-CD changer in the 2004-2006 Acura TL fit a 2004 Honda Accord with navigation? I would like to swap out the 6-CD changer in my Accord with the one from the TL in order to play DVD-A discs.

In other words, I don't want to change the entire console or entire radio, just the DVD-A/6-CD changer. I'm hoping the screw holes are the same and they directly bolt up to one another if I did the swap.

I plan on purchasing the ELS Surround Sound amplifier (from the right-hand kick panel in the 2004-2006 Acura TL) and getting surround sound in my Accord (along with the center speaker).

I wonder if I would be the first person who would try this mod out...

Finally, does anyone have a picture of the wiring diagram for the 2004 Acura TL radio?

Thanks for your help...

Here's the scans for the audio system.

Hmm,
I can't view them right now, hopefully it's just a problem with this stupid government computer I'm on right now.

But anyways, thanks man. I really appreciate it. You're my personal hero!

Do you think the DVD-A/6-CD changer from the 2004-2006 TL will be a direct swap with the 6-CD changer from my Accord?

I have no idea if the Accord changer will fit the TL, but the audio unit for the TL has different part numbers for navi and non-navi, so that might make a difference. I am sure the dash is probably shaped a little different also. You may not find many people in this forum who can tell you for sure if the Accord unit will fit a TL.

Do you have the part numbers for both the navi and non-navi versions of the DVD-A player?

Also, can you direct me to the site that I might be able to view the parts breakdown of the TL audio system in the center console?

Sonofabitch! I just found an error in the wiring diagram (unless I'm reading it wrong)! Look at page 22-398. Scroll over the the right over the picture. From the stereo amplifier, connection B6 (+ connection) to the audio unit, connection C1 (+ connection). The diagram said the wire was "RED/BLU", am I correct? The problem is, in the definition, the wire is supposed to be Brown. Did they screw this up?

I have a different manual, and this wire (Center channel + signal) is shown as brown.

Dammit! Well, there goes my little project! I thought that the DVD-A player was a separate unit, albeit very close to the cassette player. If they are one unit, then that kills my project.

Now I'm disappointed.

I guess the good news is that I didn't buy anything.
