Problems with Line Out Converter and After Market Amp. NO OUTPUT!

04 TL. Need your help?

Installed amp and line out converter today and there is no output. No power to the subs.

Here's how I installed it.
  1. Disconnected and Tapped the Sub wire
  2. Ran the converter Power, Ground and Remote to amp
  3. RCA cable connected from LOC to amp.
With this connection, amp and converter does get power. Just not getting the output from the amp to the sub.

What am I doing wrong here? Can the LOC Power and Ground connect straight to the amp? Or not? Is the sub wire a low output or high output signal?

Thanks, all your inputs are appreciated!

LOC: PAC - SOEM-T 2 channel http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=28

Amp: MB Quart FX2.60

Yes, the sub setting is up. I don't know! I'm out of ideas on how to make this work. Could it be because there is no signal from the Sub wire?

I just realized one thing about my install. I disconnected the sub wire from the factory sub and tapped it because I didn't want my factory sub to run.

Could disconnecting the sub wire cause a no signal through the wire? Thus no signal is going to the LOC.

Was the stock sub working in the first place? Have made sure the gain setting on the screen is not set to -inf (infinity) ?

Yes, the stock sub works when plugged. Not sure about the gain setting. I will check that out tonight.

Well if it works when plugged in then there is really no reason to check the gain setting. Re-check the wiring for the LOC, what are you using for remote turn on?
