Problem when installing aftermarket amp
All right so i just sold my 2000 TL and purchased an 07. I wanted to transfer my old amp and sub to my new car and still use the factory HU. I went out this morning and bought the amp wire kit and the LOC 10:1 converter. This converter had a total of 6 wires. Instructions said to hook up +/- cables to the FL speaker and FR. I connected the cables to the wires that plug into the bottom of the factory amp, located at the passenger kick panel. I forget the colors but i pulled a wiring diagram to look at. The 2 other wires were brown and i did not hook those up. So i got everythings else ran, hooked the remote wire up to fuse 32. I have power to the amp but no sound coming from sub. Tried switching around the RCA cables to make sure i didnt some how have them backwards but that didnt work.
Did i hook the LOC up in the correct location? I was wondering if i could hook both FL and FR wires up to the +/- wires in the trunk that go to the factory sub. Would that work? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well if you wired into the FL and FR you won't get any power to the sub. Any pics of what you did?? Also, what were the color codes you used? Need to make sure you use post-amp unless your amp can take a balanced signal

Problem solved. I was using pre amp wires. Disconnected those, went back to the trunk and connected the LOC to the stock sub wires and boom, we are back in action. Thanks for your response monkey.
