problem with 3sixty.1 sound cuts off?
i have a problem with my installation. when i do the set up for the oem 3sixty i set my volumen to 30 and adjust the gain until it start clipping (red light and turn it down a bit). now when i'm listen to any kind of music my speakers start making a poping sound, the sound goes on and off until i lower the volumen to around 25 and everything start sound right imediatly. it does happen more in the rear speakers and does it more in certain musics than other. doesn't matter if i go back and reduce the gain in the 3sixty, it still do it around that volume.
just to give you an idea is like you are on a cellphone call with low signal and the conversation is braking up, you only hear part of it, thats how it sounds.
i solder the cable factory harness after the amp and ran then to the back. The 3sixty power conection is tapping the same 4 gauge wire that my 4channel amp has. ground point is in the same ground has my 2 amp.
thanx

Same boat
I have the same problem. I'm at the point where I just listen to it under vol 30. Also my sub sounds like crap. I'm running an alpine pdx-5 digital amp. I've heard some people just run the harness before the amp/ right after the head unit. I was going to go that same route but didn't because didn't know if the mute was going to work withought the amp. Please anyone out there helpppp

well i solve my problem a long time ago. i ran new wire to the speakers and the rear speakers were jamming some of the speakers cable with the rear frame. now i do not get any pop in sound at the volume. i'm running the 3sixty after the factory amp. have not try pre amp.

wow you guys are running close it at volume 30 dang!!!. I get no where near volume 22 maybe is my max before I can't bare it any more. The sound is defeaning at and unbearable at even level 18 for me. I'm running the 3sixty.2 with no problems from install. I installed it after the factory amp. No clippings or popping what so ever. Depending on your speakers your amp might not be providing enough juice which is likely the reason why you're getting the "cutoff" effects. Popping noise mainly is caused by maximum excursion of speakers.
