Preferred Method to tie into a Circuit

As the title explains, what would be the best method to tie into a circuit, in our cars?

I am wiring up a pair of 07 08 mirrors to go into my 2004 TL. Found a few strings and identified the two wires that I need. But didnt see anything about how to tie in.

I am going directly to the wires that plug into above the fuse box, vs. trying to route to the front or back of the car. Would like to avoid solder if possible; due to the awkward location. If I do go the solder route, how do I strip the wire insulation?

Last question is what gauge wire should I be using to wire the mirrors? Also what is the gauge of the turn signal circuit?

Easiest method is with a wire tap and just clamp new wire to circuit you want
