Poor AM reception?

I tried searching and couldn't find anything in the TL section but here it is.

My AM reception is terrible in my 04 TL. I can pick up the same stations in my other two vehicles perfectly fine but my TL they sound terrible.

What I found on some of the other Acura vehicles was that people said it was due to the window tint. I do have my windows tinted so I'm wondering if that is why. The FM comes in fine btw.

Anyone know how to fix this or if there is a way to improve the AM reception? It's kind of annoying especially because I can't even hook up my phone to listen the AM stations I like (Iheartradio). I know you can buy adapters and such but I really don't feel like tearing my dash apart to install one if I don't have too.

Thoughts?

The antenna is in the rear glass and sucks. If your windows are tinted especially with metallic tint it sucks worse.

Fix it? Drill a hole in the fender and install an antenna with a 34"-38" mast in a fender.

Or get an aux in adapter and download a broadcast radio app.

You could retint the rear window and hope that the defroster lines don't get damaged or install an AUX input. I believe there's an AUX input thats as low as 29 bux now for the TL.

Not really sure what your getting at. Install a new antenna inside the fender coming in from the trunk?

Also, what 29 dollar aux input is available for the TL and how does it install?

Thanks again

Mount an antenna to the fender with a 34"-38" mast. AM reception will be great.
