Question Pocket PC GPS Software Suggestions?

I am in the market for a decent GPS software package to go along with my PPC for my non-navi 05 TL. Anyone have any recommendations of packages they are currently using and like.

I am considering a car mount/gps/mobinavigator software sold as a bundled unit from Arkon...anyone have any experience with it? Here is the link:

http://www.arkon.com/gpsmount.html

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Have a great weekend everyone!

Tom Tom Navigator

I'm not sure what kind of pocket pc you have, but I have an HP Ipaq 5555 and use Tom Tom Navigator with the Bluetooth GPS, very nice! I used to travel to Europe (Germany) quite a bit, so I have the Western Europe maps along with the USA. I have never had it take me to the wrong address yet. We even found a Harley Davidson store in downtown Munich. The Tom Tom system may be a little pricey, but it works great!

I use CoPilot Live 5

I use CoPilot Live 5. It was recommended as the best GPS with voice guidance software by Pocket PC magazine last year. Here is the link http://www.pocketpcmag.com/awards/no...wandf_2004.asp

Pocket PC magazine also does a good GPS comparison in their Sep 05 issue.

The website has prices and descriptions. http://www.alk.com/copilot/pocketpc.asp

The bad points are:
- Lack of a study mount; only an air vent mount provided.
- Voice volume depends on you PPC speaker. Mine isnt bad

The goods points are:
- Easy to install
- Easy to add maps to your Pocket PC
- Bluetooth connects easily and aquires satellites quickly
- Very clear and accurate directions
- Charging cable for Bluetooth Receiver and PPC

Hope this helps...good luck

What GPS software/hardware do you have? Is it the one by Dell?

It is the one by Dell.... spend the extra money and buy the Bluetooth version... I hardwired the receiver into the car so I never have to mess with it.... no wires, clean look...

I use Mapopolis. It has a digitized reader that tells you the street names to turn to. Some software will just tell you to turn to the next corner. This one tells you to "turn right on Main Street".
