Please help me diagnose this Navi problem

the gps voice output for my 05 tl navi is seriously messed up (doesn't play a voice, as much as loud clicks and pops).
the vehicle no longer accepts voice commands either.
the navigation system works fine otherwise, but the voice component is missing/broken.

i took the following screen images (sorry for the poor quality, it was on my treo 700wx) of the navi diagnostic screen.

i'd like to think that these problems are related to a connector between the components rather than the components themselves. thoughts?

MAIN SCREEN OF NAVI DIAGNOSTIC MENU

NAVI SYSTEM LINK MENU SCREEN

F-CAN MENU SCREEN

B-CAN MENU SCREEN

Any help that anyone here could provide would be greatly appreciated.

it appears that the navi drive cannot connect to the ECM to get it's vehicle speed sensor and as well cannot connect to the cluster to display info. I think it might be a loose connector or maybe a bad navi drive.

thank you for the input. is there someplace in particular that i could look for a loose connector? is it in the dash? the trunk? i've never had the dash of this car apart but know that instructions for such are on here.

thanks again!

There are a few places to check, but if the car is under warranty I suggest that you not mess with it since the parts for the navigation system are very expensive. the screen alone is 2K, the drive is 3k, and the harness is 1K.

If not under warranty, post back and I'll PM you

Is there anything else that's screwy or not working? If so, then you may have a blown fuse. The fuse box is located at the driver side kick panel. Were you or someone else working on the car recently? Do you remember the events leading up to this problem.

I don't think it's the navi drive. The f-can and b-can is giving the error message and that's outside of the navi drive.

If you're under warranty, your first course of action would be to take it to the dealership.

Are those pics taken with the key in RUN position or just Accessory? Accessory usually will show fail. Run position will check the components. 2c
