hey im new to the forums i at one point was attempting to install 2 12 inch jl audios with 1400 wat amp , i have STOCK head unit ( not navi ) just the crap one lol anyways all the wires were run correctly but for some reason didnt work the way it should have ( i installed 1st then brought it to perfessionals to see if they could fix problem) still never worked right so i took it out , i THINK that in the end my rcas were no good , can any1 please tell me FOR SURE if i can install a system such as this with a stock headunit again NOT navi?

 

I'm trying to understand. Why did it not work? What happened? How did you have your wiring set-up? You're description is general and vague. Did you try a different set of RCAs?

Plenty of people here have added subs/amp combos with no problems

 

yah i had all the wires run as they should be i installed many systems before but this one gave me a problem, i think the rcas were bad because i sold my mold systems and wires and the person i sold them to found out the problem was the RCAS but i wanted to be 100% sure that it would work with my stock head unite

 

This system really isn't any different than any other audio system.

You might want to post some details on exactly how you wired them (before the amp, after the amp, what rca jacks you are referring to, etc).

I also would suggest paragraphs so it's easier to read/understand.

The HU is the same for both navi and non-navi equipped TL's.

guy around where i live makes custom boxes for an1ys trunk for 100-150 bucks ill let u guys kno how it comes out
