you mean to hook up an external mp3 player to the aux?(sorry i dont know much about all this)

right now the previous owner has an ipod cable hooked up through the back of the nav radio and into the glovebox

sound quality wise, would buying an ipod or an mp3 player be better?

i have an android phone. any way to hook that up rather than having to buy a new device?

I thought DICE had a media bridge that would allow you to hook up a USB stick and play MP3 files from there. I ended up with an iSimple PXAMG which comes with a 3.5mm jack and the iPod cable. I'll probably buy a nano and just load it up with the songs I want to hear or play the most often when driving.

I have a android phone, and I use the 3.5mm cable, plug it into the centre console. only cost me $9.99 at advance auto parts.
