Pioneer HU Mute Wire

Is the “mute” wire (orange/black I think) from a stock Pioneer head unit used? Is it required for muting an incoming call, for example?

I’m installing the HU soon and am curious what to do with that wire and, if it IS used, what factory wire do I splice it into?

Thank you!

I did find these scans...but what am I muting? The amp? Or the HFL? At least I narrowed it down this much:

Connector “C”

Amp = C10
HFL = C16

I have non-navi.

I didn't connect it to anything. There's no need to use it as the pioneer unit will be your primary Bluetooth connection and will mute automatically with incoming calls. I just unplugged my HFL.
