Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD installed!! W/ stock amp
hey guys!
i just finished my install of my 2 dib pioneer dvd player (except for the hands free adapter im still waiting on shipping.)
its not as bad as i thought it was going to be! fitment wise.
the double din screws right in to the stock holes from the original radio!
the wiring harness from ebay with the RCA adapters built in is wrong though
the remote turn on wire is actually on the grey harness and its the yellow/red
the only thing left is to make the surround which im using the stock radio's face and some fiberglass filler.
otherwise it's awesome! sound quality is 10X better using the stock bose amp. its louder too.
the stock amp is actually very clear and loud its the stock radio that was holding it back!!!!!!
here are some pics of the radio and my new sticker

Looks good can't wait to see it with the surround. What are you going to do about the metal trim cut-outs?
So your speaker wiring went from the new head unit to the stock amp to the stock speakers?
I did mine a while ago and never looked back. Just a little more extreme

i got the harness adapter with RCAs already on it and ran it to the stock amp.
the radio has a adjustable output on the RCAs so i tuned it to be louder with no static (not to overload the amp input)
im going to get the same stock trim pieces from acura and cut out a section and glue it to the silver trim pieces in the car. (like in the other double din adapter thead.)

lol thanx!
that would not happen noone is going to make a double din radio to just work with our cars.
you can get a aux input adapter and get a single din radio and put it in the glove to play other types of media, then get the AV switcher and put a dvd player in the trunk to play DVDs if you have a navi already in your car utilize the stock screen its pretty good
