hey folks i searched last night and will continue to search today. im installing my iphone integration stuff tomorrow (navtool + pie x3) but i have some concerns i cant seem to clear up. i posted in elegant's thread but have not received a clear cut answer.

i know xm navtraffic will not pass through the PIE interface but what about xm radio itself? it would be a HUGE buzzkill if that is the case. id like to retain xm radio.

if anyone can chime in i would appreciate it.

p.s. - is there a DIY for instlaling the PIE x3? do i need to rip the dash apart again to get to the connections behind the radio? thanks

shit, just answered my own question. i have an 07 TL-S apparently i cannot use the pie x3. ???

im so confused right now.

I can not speak about the PIE unit, so this may not help you. But if you figure out that it will not retain your XM, you can always get the iSimple. It will retain XM functionality but you have to remember to get the one that installs in the trunk at the XM unit itself. It requires a specific harness that is different from the non Nav-Traffic TLs.

i dont want the isimple because i want video from my iphone to the nav unit. i wish there was more info on the pie unit. seems a ton of people have it but theres no details around it.

The PIE unit does audio and video all-in-one? I have the iSimple and Dom's Nav Coverter unit and I have audio and video to my Navi through my Ipod Touch...

nah, PIE is just audio, he'll need Dom's or some equivalient unit for video.

That's what I thought, so iSimple would be a viable option for him.
