Oh where oh where, have my phone # hyphens gone?

Okay, so I haven't gotten a bluetooth phone yet...debating on whether or not to get the V710. I have Verizon as my carrier, so at the moment...that is my only choice if I want bluetooth, unless I switch carriers.

Anyway...I've been messing around with the bluetooth system and phonebook etc. I figured I might as well go ahead and start entering phone numbers into the cars phonebook.

It works fine, except when I instruct the car to list the phone numbers...the numbers come up in the MID without hyphens. The only one that comes up with hyphens is the last one it displays.

I am confused. I would like the hyphens as the number is obviously easier to read with them? Anyone else have this problem and is there a fix?

Thanks guys!

Verizon also offers the XV6600. This is a pocket PC Phone with Bluetooth. I have seen mixed reviews on how it works with the HFL. I have seen some posts tha is works and others that is does not. I will be picking up my ABP/Quartz 5AT/Navi TL next weekend 2/12. I'll test it out then to see how it works.

At a minimum you will need to install a bluetooth patch to make it work. the people over at pdaphonehome.com have come up with one based on the GSM version of the XV6600 which is the iMate PDA2K.

That is weird, because I do get the hyphens on the display in the MID. The only times that hasn't happened was when I tried entering numbers in small chunks on a few when the HFL balked at the number (for some reason when I give it a 202 area code it tries to put in extra zeros)--so if I say "Store 202," then "Store 555," then "Store 1212," it will always show up on the MID as "202 555 1212." Annoying, but not a huge issue since it still works correctly.
