Noob interested in aftermarket HU

Hello fellow aziner. I've search through our wonderful board but I have yet seen anyone ask this before..where the non-navi screen is at does anyone know if there is enough room to fabricate a bracket for an aftermarket hu?

1. Reason why, I would imagine I can tap into the AUX mode without re-wiring the amp.
2. factory look / or as close to
3. cannot tell if there is enough clearance
4. I care more for the dvd side rather than nav or anything else...however I do work for a major retail chain and I can get with nav for a hell of a deal from alpine, kenwood, pioneer, etc.

There is not enough room to install a HU where the LCD is located. There is 3 maybe 4 inches of depth. The vents get in the way too. The LCD circuit board must be retained for the AC to work properly. The only place to install aftermarket HU is where the OEM radio is located. It will need a custom made dash kit if you go that route.
