non-navi to navi conversion draining battery

Is there away to fix this issue?

I used to be able to sit there and listen to music while i wait with the car off, now, My car dies after a few minutes and I end up having to boost the car with the booster pack.

My battery is completely dead and having the car sit for a little bit causes it to drain.

What's a good battery for something like this?

I don't think it's an issue with your navi-conversion. I think it is your battery itself.

I never had this issue before the navi.

I suspect it's the screen draining the battery since when it's in acc it's on.

I need to get a battery charger to see what's up with the battery. don't feel like buying a new battery on a hunch.

if it's a new battery, anyone got any recommendations? Would a capacitor help?

x2, OEM battery isn't very good.

Go with an Interstate or Optima Yellow Top.

X3, OEM battery sucks. Your first option should be to try and get the dealer to replace your OEM battery for FREE!! The only reason I'm saying this is that I've read other people on this site who have been able to do this.

Your second option is to get another battery. Optima is the best, but it's also the most expensive and you also might have issues fitting the battery in your original slot. What I did, was go to Auto Zone and buy one of the yellow top Duralast gold batteries. So far, 0 problems. I highly recommend buying another battery when the funds are available.
