My 05 TL's factory security system is acting up. I have my Keyless Memory settings set to lock the doors when accelerating + 15 MPH. So every time I came to a stop or slow down below 15mph and then accelerate above 15mph again, the door locks lock up (even though they're already locked from previous accelerations). I can still hear the locking mechanism trying to lock. If I try to change the memory settings to all other combination, then the door locks work fine (ie, lock when pull out of park or unlock when put back into park).

Also, when locking the car with the keyfob remote, the parking lights don't flash and the LED security indicator on the driver door doesn't flash either. There is no beep sound like before. I tried opening the door manually (reaching through the window and unlocking) and the alarm doesn't set off. This makes me rule out that there is something wrong with the factory Security system.

The lights do flash however, when pushing the unlock button with the keyfob. I've checked all the fuses (both inside and under the hood) but they're all good. Anyone ever had this problem? Is there a separate fuse for the security system? Any input is appreciated.

 

Sounds like one of the door, hood, or trunk sensors is not making contact and the alarm is not arming. No idea about the locks. Trying opening and closing all 4 doors, the hood and trunk. See what happens.

I would start there.

 

That would make sense even for the locks.

I believe the only thing that won't throw a warning once you start driving is the hood being open.

Yup. Tried all that already. I even tested the the panic button on the remote but that works fine. Any other thoughts?

 

I'm having the same problem!! It's starting to get pretty annoying not knowing why it keeps trying to lock whenever I go under a certain speed. The only difference with my issue is that its the passenger side front light that wont light up, instead of the driver side.
Any luck with what it might be?

 

I'm thinking about going in, having it hooked up, and hopefully find out what the problem is....I'll post whatever I find out.
One thing I noticed yesterday (pulled up in front of a store and could see the reflection of my lights in the glass doors) was that one of the indicator lights isn't coming on when I turn the lights on, even though it does blink when I signal. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

any luck with the problem because i started to have the same problem today.

I'm able to lock the doors with the remote but there is no beep and the red light doesn't open on the driver's door.

Tried every door when the car is on and every detectors work fine.

Any luck with that.
