Can I replace the clock in my non-navi 04 TL with the clock from a navi TL? Does it contain all the temperature info that my HVAC display does? I was thinking of replacing my HVAC display with a navi touchscreen, and my factory stereo with an aftermarket double din. I know people have relocated the HVAC display to below the stereo but I don't think I have the skills to make it look good, and besides don't want to lose those compartments, so I was thinking of just getting rid of the HVAC display altogether. Any thoughts?

 

There's a guy on Azine that did it. You need to have the original NAVI screen since there's a board that delivers information to that specific clock device.

Im also planing to do this soon, even maybe a Navi conversion + my Mac in the glove box!

The person that did that needed to install a portion of the navi system (screen, sub-displays, dvd drive and antenna so it could all communicate. Then he hid the stock screen behind the new one for his carputer. I believe it was king of pain who did that...
