Nokia 6230 and BT

Anyone have this phone?

It won't show anything on the Screen. No battery life nor signal strength.

BUT...it does work fine with the system besides that.

I wonder if a flash will solve it.

that is a great phone...its the one I want...but it won't show the battery or signal strength in the MID. None of the NOkias display in the MID..like the Motorolas I suppose. It should show an antennae-type symbol in the MID when the phone is "paired".

where did you get it? how much was it? I'm just waiting for Cingular to finally have it in stock so I can switch from AT&T and get one.

Sony/Ericsson is the pioneer in bluetooth, and they may have the only phones that will ever give the full diplay in the TL, but their phones are just too delicate. I had two T637s in the last month that both had the navigation button malfunction within weeks. One of them had dropped from my desk onto my floor and the "down" function of the button stopped working just like that, so I returned both of them and went back to my Nokia 8265 temporarily...anyway...

I have had it about two months and it has been flawless. The best reception and voice quality of any phone I have ever had (I've had a lot )

Take care!

You might want to wait because Cingular already acquired AT&T and by the end of the year they will merge.

the 6230 requires a manual connect every time you get in the car and drops the bluetooth link frequently, cingular updated firmware.... still got auto connect / battery strength missing / antenna strength missing / drops bt connect issues

Cingular has not acquired ATT yet.
