Currently tapped into pre-amp signal, directly with RCA wires (cut and soldered directly).

Tons of noise, even with HU off.

I was told I need a line driver? I just removed a LOC because it was creating a volume difference on my L/R sides, also all of my gains were able to be maxxed without showing clipping on an oscope - certainly something was wrong.

Stock HU -> Tapped pre-amp -> Mosconi 6to8 -> Mosconi One 120.4 -> Arc SE2075 -> PA-1500 Nakimichi

I tapped into the pre-amp signal and use a Rockford Fosgate RF-BLD to boost the signal before it gets to my amps. And I don't have any noise. The stock amp was removed completely so that's where I mounted the line driver. I would suggest putting it close to the headunit so it doesn't have time to pick up any noise on the way back to the trunk.
