No sound on driver side.

Like the title states, my girlfriends 08 tl with Navi lost all the sound from the driver side. i haven't pulled out my DMM and done any testing to see if they are getting power but im taking a guess and saying no. I do have the wiring schematic in front of me and i don't see how she could loose the whole left side, unless the amp or audio unit is messed up. She has an extended warranty and i know it states that the speakers and wires are not covered but im sure the amp and audio unit is.

really just looking for some direction, has anyone else had this problem? do you know if the extended warranty would cover the above parts mentioned

The passenger side along with the rear sub work just fine.

The factory amp is a common problem and losing channels is pretty typical when it starts going out. I would still troubleshoot but chances are it's the amp.

Have you turned the car on and then hit the tuner knob to make sure that the fade settings haven't been altered at all?

Yeah, being an IT administrator I always try to do the most obvious things first. Glad OP didn't take it like I was being a know-it-all. Good luck with the replacement!
