Nextel i930 sensitive subject

OK there is obviously alot of Nextel subscribers on this site and we are all waiting patiently for Nextel to release a Bluetooth enabled cell . There are numerous posts all over the web that state that the i930 will NOT include Bluetooth a HUGE disappointment to all of the contract binded Nextel customers. There also seems to be alot of readers that also know someone reliable at Nextel. Ha!!! there are two words you don't here in the same sentence often.

OK now to my point the New i930 is reported to include a SDIO slot and a Microsoft OS installed. Has anyone done the leg work to see if we would be able to use a bluetooth SDIO card to get up and running? It couldn't be hard to develop a Microsoft app to enable this. Has anyone been down this road already am I wasting my time looking into this? Does anyone know of a reason why this couldn't work? Anyone a developer up for a challenge? Anyone a have reliable Nextel contact that can point us in the right direction?

I would suggest if those are your pictures of the i930 to take them offline before Motorola contacts you. I know no one reliable at Nextel. In fact, the only people that I know that use it are a couple family friends who work at Texas Instruments but because they run around floors all day doing techie work. Now about the SDIO bluetooth slot... if Microsoft or the accompanying bluetooth adapter has drivers for Windows Mobile then that would definitely be a start. Programming is another thing. If you paid me a good amount of money, I wouldn't mind doing the research and compiling but there will always be problems such as a) I don't have a tester phone b) decompiling the original code might lead to legal actions by the peripheal company... umm I don't know what else. It's just a sensitive side to touch base on. Best to wait or if you really don't need the walkie talkie feature, just switch carriers.

I happened to stop in at the Nextel Dealer in Walnut Creek, Ca and asked about Bluetooth. He said not until next year and will be on Blackberry. Blackberry is hot in California now that word is out that Governator staff uses.
