what is the most current nav dvd? i have 4.55a. 2007 TLS.

is there way to see what updates or what has changed? is it worth update from 4.55 to 4.81. how many versions is that behind?

 

The update is definitely worth it. Hands down. If you can, spend the money on the new one and sell the other one. People on here have had a net cost of around $25 - $40 for the update.

 

What for about 3 months, and a newer update DVD will be out.

I don't know if anyone can say when the next one will come out, but how long ago did v4.81 come out?

 

I don't know how old the 4.55 is compared to the newest, but it really depends on your area and where you travel. I had a 3.40 version that came with my CPO 06 TL and the latest is 3.90. I mainly got it because it was on sale and others said the firmware update for the nav unit fixed some stuff. I'm not really sure it was worth $150, but it nice to have the most current maps and a faster more accurate unit.

I called the customer service number listed on the Web site the first week of July to ask the same question. The person I spoke with told me the current 2010 White DVD Map Update v4.81 came out in Sept. 2009. She said updates are released once per year and could not say for certain the next version would be available in Sept 2010, but ...

Since the DVD is going to cost $185 for the v4.81 released 10 months ago, and likely $185 for the next update, I plan to wait.
