Does anyone have experience installing a Sirius receiver, along-side XM, in the TL? Let me know if you do, I'd like to do just that. Or, if you'd be interested in doing such an install, drop me a note.

The only way to do it right now is to get a starbase or some other external tuner control along with something like USA-Spec adapter.

There is a HON-SC1 from DirectEd that also requires a SC-C1, but I don't think it's shipping yet.

Do a search, it's been discussed and there are install examples.

If the XM / Sirius merger winds up going through, you won't have to worry about it.

 

Yes, you're right, HOWEVER, it's been over a year since the merger was announced. How much more will I have to wait to see Sirius programming on XM? Could take months, years..

 

I wouldn't hold my breath either.

 

I don't know why people keep saying this. Even if congress approves (likely won't) and they do merge, it's not going to be an instant "I have both" scenario. You'll be lucky to have both sets of programming within a year of them merging.
