I'm not sure if I should even be posting this but I did come across the dvd navi version 4.62 for a 2008 TL. Has anyone else seen this? Would it work on my 2005 TL?

 

It should not work for an 05. But if it magically does, let me know! Seriously, that would be a miraculous moment!

Guys, your timing is perfect.....I just got off the phone with Alpine this afternoon. The 4.62 disc will only work in 2008 TL's. They will not work in '07 models. So I'm sure they will not work in later model TL's either. But an updated version of the 4.55 or 4.56 disc for the 2007 cars is now delayed for release until July. They had some real bad problems with the 4.62 disc not working in the 2007 TL's, so now they are saying that the 4.62 disc will not be for the 2007 year and lower at all.

 

I am wondering: What are the problems with 4.62 and 07 TL? I just loaded 4.62 last week and do not see any issues.

 

They didn't elaborate on the 4.62 problems. But I was sure disappointed to hear it would until July before we can get an update.

 

Ya it doesn't work, i think i still need an entirely different verison for my '05. I haven't even seen any other comments on the torrent.

Yeah, def curious about this. My 05 Navi is first release I think. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could copy an updated disc (I have DVD burner), or if I could just download something that makes burning everything really simple. I don't want to mess with setting up a special file structure after I download each BIN or something..

I obviously don't know much about this, but I do know that I do not want to spend 185 for a new disc.

 

A 4.62 disc from an 08 TL does indeed work for 2007 Acura TL but does not work for 2005.

 

so does that mean we can't even update our navi's? from 2005 to current?

 

Are there any hacks for v4.62? I'd like to get rid of my "Okay" screen.

 

I'm at this stage too; not much info for v4.62 at all... trying to see what works and doesn't from the tools and hacks listed in existing threads here and elsewhere.
