New Navi Disc offer

I received a letter in the mail yesterday from Acura advertising the new Navi disc (white). They have a special going on. The disc is $149.00 until June 30th (2011). It's a 20% savings. If your interested visit www.acuranavi.com/white or call 1-866-628-6274. It says it has new roads, destinations and over 6 million POI's.

I have an older model (2005 TL) and it says the oragne disc is for me. So i guess the white disc wouldnt work for me?? The oragne disc has been out for a while... I dont want to get the oragne and then have Acura come out with a new disc for 04-06 TL's a few months down the line. In your opinion is the oragne update worth the $150....Yes, I do use navi quite a bit and there are roads that I noticed are not on the current navi disc I have (I havent gotten an updated disc since 2005).

If you still have the original (orange) disk from when the car was new, I'd definitely upgrade to the latest one. You'll see the difference right away. The next version isn't due out until at least the fall.

The white disk is for '07 and '08 only.

I also have the original Orange disc that came with the car. I'm wondering, is the only benefit the updated maps & POI, or are there user interface upgrades and new functionality for the GPS and/or Audio screens?

Thanks!

^This! I'd like to know also, as I still have my '04 disc in there. I need to send my nav. unit of to Alpine anyways so I figure I'll just buy a disc at the same time if there is a big difference.

The dealer just replaced my old nav disc with the new one this morning because it was scratched (under warranty). If you're under warranty, check to see if your old disc is scratched up a bit, and then take it in and see if they'll cover it for you. I know it sounds like a long shot, but it doesn't hurt to try and save yourself some $$$.

Mine was scratched up when I bought it, still under warranty. But the dealer stated it was "wear and tear", which they don't cover....SUCKS!!

At risk of cross-posting, wanted to report that I received the same offer and was able to get the telephone rep to waive the absurd $10 shipping fee However if you want to order online the deal is here:

http://www.acuranavi.com/white

The same item (v.4.92) is currently on ebay for $139-149 + shipping, so no reason to go there.

We had been holding off on this but had 2 recent road trips where we ended up on 2 new roads that were not on the map so we decided it would be useful. Hopefully the restuarant info is also updated as the old directory is missing a lot of places.

If you want to buy or trade NAVI disc, take to the Black Market section, not in here.

Nav disc

The white disc ver. 4.92 is most likely on sale because a newer version will be released in the fall.
