Check out these specs.. Who knows.. will come out in CDMA???


LG's U8150 UMTS mobile phone.

LG's introduction of its UTMS capable mobile phone. The U8150 is one of these compact phones with a impressive 256K color 176x220 pixels internal display and a external 65K color display with 110x88 pixels display. A easy to use 4-way navigation keys makes the phone easy to navigate through its menus. The Dual band LG U8150 flip phone has lots of advanced features right out of the box. The compact size phone supports a large array of multimedia functionalities including a built-in digital (CMOS) camera capable of 640x480 pixels and 4x Zoom with video recording. Other multimedia functionalities include a MPEG3/MPEG4 video player, MP3 player, 40 Polyphonic ring tones, MMS, photo phonebook, and much more. The phone supports high speed GPRS internet connections and its built-in WAP 2.0 browser provides a nice internet surfing experiencing on this compact size phone. To support all of these capabilities, the phone provides the users with 64MB of shared memory for storing pictures, messages, and Java programs.

For connection to the PC, the phone supports a true USB port or Bluetooth for synchronization with its built-in PIM applications. The Bluetooth connection also allows the phone to be used with any Bluetooth devices such as wireless headsets. Other notable features include T9 text input, downloadable ringtones, scheduler, calculator, world clock, voice dialing, voice memo and much more.

This press release makes me wonder how if LG even had a chance to look at it before it was released. MPEG3 video support is rather novel given that MPEG3 video does not exist. I guess the good news is that since you can't find MPEG3 video content you can't prove the phone doesn't acutally support it.

BTW, this is a GSM phone, not CDMA so don't expect Sprint or other CMDA carriers to pick it up.

IMO, this phone ain't gonna work seamlessly with TL.
