New Feature? Hold the nav zoom button

It takes a brave or foolish man to come on this board and claim to have found a new feature. Perhaps someone will run a poll sometime as to which title is more accurate.

I've always used a push and release touch on the nav zoom to change the visible map area - increments of 1/20, 1/8, 1/2, 2, 5, 15, etc. I discovered tonight that press and hold offers increments in between the press and release levels such as 1/4, 1, 10, etc. I even checked the manual to be sure this is documented there before making this brave post.

I didn't find this on search, but I'll be bold enough to say it is news to enough folks to be re-post worthy should it be old news. Then again, given the typical mood of this board, that would be a foolish man speaking.

06 TL Nav, with the fall 2007 release of the Nav disc.

Cheers;

It looks like it's been posted before, but if it helps at all, this is the first I'm hearing of it...

First time hearing it for me too. I'll have to go try it out. I wonder if you can use the voice commands to get to the half steps.
