Need help from you Audio-Heads

Well let me explain what am trying to achieve....

I am deleting the factory Radio but using the factory wiring and Amp and Speakers....the input will be my phone....

Now here are the details on the stock AMP:

the amp has 2 connectors....BLACK and GRAY....

On the gray pin we have the Outputs and the Power Wires....

the BLACK (white inserts) connector carries the INPUT to the AMP and here are the color codes:
RF+ Black
RF- Gray
LF+ Green
LF- Blue
C+ Brown
C- Greeen w/White
RR+ Orange
RR- Red
LR+ White
LR- Yellow
SW+ Red w/Blue
SW- White w/Green
Remote Turn-on -> Red w/Yellow - 0v to 14V
Amp Mute -> Yellow w/Green - 0v to 5V

Now I traced the wires back and behind the headunit you have 3 connectors....BLUE/GRAY/WHITE

I see all the above color codes on the BLUE connector along with the power wires and Ignition wire....now the Sub and Center Channel migrate over to the GRAY connector along with the REM turn on and AMP mute....

now the AMP mute I dont care about....

I gave the power wires to

I shorted the Ignition wire and the REM wire (and I can see the voltage coming to the amp)

I made some RCA ends which connect the CONNECTOR (hence amp) and the processor....

finally I gave my phone's 3.5mm headphone to Audio RCA to the Main/AUX of the of the processor....

so in my head everything is wired right....am seeing voltage everywhere (in a good way)....i play some music and all i hear is some noise....even with the music turned off there is some noise which i get and thats all....no music !!!

can anyone help me decode the problem.....

now how do i know everything is connected right ??? the Fader on the processors works perfectly....moves the sound/noise front and back as the knob is turned....i just dont know why am not getting any music output....

some pix of the stock connectors:
3 connectors behind the headunit:

2 connectors under the stock amp

Did you make sure that the proper input selection is made on the processor? HU or AUX.

I bet it's something simple. Just think it out from start to finish wiring-wise. I'll look at it really quick too and see what I can find, if anything.

EDIT: You say you're using the "AUX IN" on the processor right? And did you do anything with the "Amp Mute wires"?

Yup, I would be trying to kill the rattling in my rear deck now if he didn't steer me away from putting an aftermarket sub there too.

Good monkey!

Glad to see everyone's setups are coming along.......but mine, not so much. I just lose interest in it for awhile and then start back up. I have my music faded all the way to the rear speakers lol. Nothing like having a few thousand in the car and not using it.

I don't know what's worse, not being able to use it or being pissed when you do use it because it sounds no better than stock. Going to put another couple hours into tuning right now. I feel like I still have phase issues. What works with the MS8 one day doesn't work the next. It's like it adapts to your changes after a couple tunes. Literally gets your hopes up right as you're going to video it getting smashed at a meet and then lets them down again. If only I had stayed on the passives. We may still have a video of an MS8 getting run over and burned soon.

Send me that MS-8 lol. Can't hurt my system lol..

I know what you mean though! Mine sounds like factory at the moment. At volume 35 it's barely even loud lol. Any more and I just have tons of noise if I need to turn it down. Amps are everywhere in the trunk. Sub/box aren't bolted down and have toppled over a few times due to absolutely freaking horrible drivers.

At this point, I really wish I would have just went with a small 5 or 6 channel and no processor and just be done with it. It's just not worth it anymore. I don't have the desire right now to troubleshoot when I've done literally everything.

Lol. And right as I started hating it I get a great tune. I tried about 10 different crossover points and when I went with 80/200/4khz it all came together. It's working the little 3.5" midranges pretty hard but it sounds good. Stage is great. I would be happy except I know the first time I do a retune it's going to sound like ass again.

Is there something wrong with not doing a retune? I apologize (Canadians spell with z on purpose) if that is a dumb question. Seems if it sounds good now why change it?

I got it working !!!!

the fuse was eating up the fucking power !!! i checked all connections and i checked everything....it was fine....checked output voltages and it was fine....

thought of checking the input voltage and the constant input showed 1.4V....checked it before the fuse and it was 14.2V....took the fuse OFF as the power line i am using has a fuse built into the car.....

i hear zee muzik !!!
