Need Help: want to install sub and components

I want to install a new sub in the rear deck and all new speakers in the car. Is it worth it. Can I install the new speakers without installing a new amp on the highs and mids. I know I need to install a new amp for the sub. I will do a new amp for the highs and mids if it is necessary. Also what are the best brands? I just want it to be clear and loud. I would appreciate any help

Rule #2.

Don't bother with components if they aren't gonna be amped.

I just want super loud, crisp mids and highs and a little bit more bass. I will amp the highs and mids. Do you think a free-air ten would sound decent in the deck?

Nothing would sound good in the deck. It's been tried several times, and everyone has failed. The deck is not sturdy enough to handle the rattle of a sub, and the bass response is sub-par at best.

For loud, crisp midbass, mids and highs you will need an audio processor.

For bass, go with 1 or 2 subs. Two 12" subs sound wonderful if you go with the right brand and type.

I recommend 1 amp for the main stage, and 1 amp for each sub with either a capacitor on each mono amp or a second battery.

Do a search based on this and you will find tons of information.

No caps. big 3, extra battery.

i would do one 12..2 seems like overkill for someone who just wants a little bit of extra bass.
