Need help finding the tweeter/mid junction behind glovebox.

Hey everyone,

I'm in the middle of pre-wiring my car for an audio system I'm going to be installing. I see from a bunch of posts that the front mids and tweeters are wired in parallel with one another and just have the tweeter cap'd off. I've also been reading a lot that the 'junction' is behind the glovebox. I have the glovebox out right now but didn't see a junction. Does anyone have a picture of it where they can point it out to me?

I don't mind taking a picture either (since the glovebox is currently out of the car right now) and posting it so someone can point it out to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Car is an '08 TL

Just drop a new wire down for aftermarket tweeters. Takes a minute at the most.

Well, yes. That's the easy answer. I'd like to tap into the factory wiring though so that I don't have to run a wire. It's easy and I'm already doing more work than that but it's also just so I know where it is.

It's much easier and quicker to drop a wire down than to tap in at the junction. From what I remember the junction is a white block with a couple of white plugs. Haven't looked at it in a while.

So is your plan to run aftermarket crossovers and tap the tweeter output into the factory tweeter wiring or does your aftermarket tweeter have a cap? But seriously, it takes 1 minute to drop a wire down from the tweeter hole and find it in there. Much easier.

Believe me, I understand that it's much easier. I actually used to install for a living for years and actually work for Engineering & Tech Support for one of the electronics manufacturers now. I just wanted to know for myself and then decide whether or not I wanted to run the wire.

The tweeters I'm using are not capped, they go through a passive crossover. I like to keep wiring as original as I can. Just one of my pet peeves or....whatever thing it is that makes me weird lol.
