Need Help 2004 TL Stock sound system (Only get front/rear deck speakers sound)
Hello Everyone,
I change my battery on my 2004 TL and after turning the radio on I only get sound on the rear deck speakers or the front (dash, by playing with the settings), but it does not get any sound on the doors speakers (nor front or rear).
What could be the issue?
I have tried this:
1) Unplug battery for 3-5 mins, re-enter radio code (still same behavior)
2) Tried the settings that allows to transfer sound front/rear/right/left (does it only on the rear deck and front dash, but no for the doors speakers).
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

No sound at all? I'd guess an amp channel died. Either on the pre-out on the headunit or in the external amp. Any sound out of the tweeter r/l on the dash?

Do you own a multimeter? Next step in testing is probably going to require one. You'll need to open your passenger kick panel. Pry back the weather strip there and pull the panel off. It should come off pretty easy. You'll see the stock amp here.
This is the wiring diagram

Put your DMM in AC voltage mode and play something. (A test tone 1khz at 0db would be best, but regular music will probably work too.) You'll want to probe b1 and b2 to see if you're getting any voltage. If so you have a signal to the amp. Check a6 and a7 on the output side of the amp. If you have signal on one side, but not the other you have a bad amp. If you're not getting a signal into the amp (It'll be low- under 1v) you probably have a fried head unit.
It may help to disconnect the speaker side of the amp while doing this so you can turn up the volume all the way when checking for a signal.
