NavTraffic in 08 model always turns itself off..

I have a 2008 TL-S, and everytime i start the car, even if the little traffic icon is pushed town in the 'icons' menu, I get no traffic info. But if I turn it off, hit return, turn it back on, hit return, then i get it. Or i can just say "traffic" then it shows up.
I know the data takes 'some' time too download, I had NavTraffic with an aftermarket unit in my CL-S, but just today, I had been driving for no less than 30minutes when I hit downtown Tampa, notice i get no info on the Navi screen. I check my icons, they show as 'enabled'.. i hit the voice button and speak "traffic" and voila... traffic shows up on the display. So, being anal retentive, I get the 1st exit, stop the car. After letting it sit about 2 minutes, i restart it and again, no info I re-enabled the traffic by cycling it off and on.

anybody have this issue, i don't wanna endup at Acura with the 'Ohh that's how it's supposed to work son!'

thanks in advance

p.s. should I post this in problem/fixes instead??

you might wanna try zooming out the screen... i believe the screen needs to show at least 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile.... someone correct me on this.

Mine does that - sort of. Traffic never works in the morning, even after stop/start. I've never tried the voice command, none of the keypad commands gets it going.

The thing is, it always works in the afternoon - no issues.

ya, i've had issues sometimes enabling it with the keypad, but voice so far has worked all the time.

Well, for what it's worth, I had a pretty good run with my traffic for the past few days. But Yesterday, during my drive, traffic information dissapeared.
I think this was likely caused by something goofing off with xm radio. because when I'd zoom, usually on the zoom chart it shows which view shows traffic, this time, that 'darker' zoom zone was no longer displayed...

oh well, if i find a pattern, I'll bring it in to the dealer, otherwise, i'll just live with it.
