I ordered the white 2012 update disc for my 07 TL-s. As I was getting ready to update the inscructions called to load the Honda/Acura NAVAGATION UPDATE SETUP DISC. I bought my car used and have never seen this disc. Is it something that came with the car or another disc a need to buy?

 

WHoa really? hmm i was gettin ready to update soon here...i don't think i have a "setup" disc either...(also bought used)

 

Does any one have info on this???? I am sure I am not the first person to update my gps maps

 

AFAIK, all the updates are on the Navigation DVD.
Once the DVD is inserted, it updates the Navi software before going into location-seeking mode.

 

There is nothing that needs to be purchased. The replacement disc is the update. No addtional purchases are required. Just put the disc in and make sure the car is on or in ACC. Let it load.

 

It worked thank you, I didnt read the fine print to well. The update disc was only needed on older software versions.

 

LOL! dude this is one case where our type (instruction manual readers) is being led astray -- throw caution to the wind and just shove the new disc in the hole

I just got the update myself, updated from original stock 07 disc that came with the car. I swear boot-time is faster (time until I can see my back up cam = back up cam WAS useless cause I couldn't wait so long, but now is useful)... But I wish I had timed the old boot-up with a watch, so I know I'm not hallucinatin' and fantasizin'
