how well does the tv antenna work? I mean, I know at home without cable, I can't pick up any channels.

Does this also allow you to play dvd/vcd/svcd movies with your stock system?

I'd be interested in a group buy...more interested in playing DVDs than the TV portion so I'd need to know if they would do a discount on the dvd player also.

I'd be interested as well. My only concern would be the installation part. Anyone know how difficult it would be. Their are not a lot of shops I trust out here to do the work.

Gali you would not be able to play dvd, vcd, svcd over your stock system. You would have to purchase another dvd player that would work in a car. This unit allows you to convert your navi screen to a useable screen. It becomes like a computer monitor when you hook up the above unit.

thanks ... I thought i read somewhere that our systems actually can read dvd-video, just can't output to the screen (same/similar laser as dvd-audio, or something). I thought this was machine that would allow that...

thanks.

oh, and just to let you guys know, prob. would not be in the group buy this time...

the installation is pretty straight forward there is a lot of information on a DIY if you are somewhat electronics literate, all you need to do is ply the wires at the back of the dvd unit and tap it into the output of the unit while connecting anything you want to the input of the unit.
just run the power wires thats it.
power wires, output of dvd player may be a bracket to position it under the dvd navigation unit.
