Navigation questions

I have 2 questions for everyone.
1. I have my navi settings on auto for the naviagtion. WHen it turns night gps screen turns to black when day turns to beige. Its on auto.
It changes over with key 2 but with key 1 it stays beige all the time. I have to go in and turn it to night to make the screen go black when it is at night. Any idea why this does that. (only does this with key 1)

2. I synced my phonebook to the car usuing bluetooth. Is there a way to automatically have all my contacts voice activated where i just say the name of the person and have it call it automatically. I have this done for about 6 people and it works great but i dont want to go through all 100 contacts to do this. ALso when i rec incomming calls it just says phone number not who the person is. Is there a way to have it say the persons name not just the phone number digits.

Any help is appreciated and also i drive an 08 acura tl type s if that helps.

Thanks to all in advance.

I can't answer your bluetooth question since I'm not that familiar with the bluetooth systems on the 08. As far as the gauges are concerned, just turn the brightness on your gauge cluster from MAX down 1 level and it should automatically turn with you headlamps.

You need to adjust the instrument panel lighting while using key 1-- each key can memorize a seating position, audio settings, mirror positions and lighting preferences.

I don't think there is any way to give names to the downloaded phone contacts; you'll have to give each number a voice tag/name through the HFL.

The car will only show the number of a caller, or the name of the caller if it is in the HFL-- there is no verbal announcement of the caller's name or number.

so turning the brightness down from max fixed my navi issue. Thanks for all the help guys. As for the phone i have my entire phone synced to the navi. I can go through phone book and use the screen to call or my phone. However since my entire phonebook is synced shouldn't when i rec an incoming call it say who is calling. For instance i want it to say (Matt) not his telephone number which shows up in the small dialouge where it tells how many miles are on your car. Any other thoughts. Thanks

Dan, it won't do that....sorry.

Think of your transferred phonebook as actually 2 phonebooks. The first one is the one you can look up on your Navigation screen.

The 2nd one is your favorites phonebook. Those are the names you frequently call-those are the ones you enter on your HFL.

It will not announce who is calling when receiving a call though. I look at my iPhone when getting an incoming call. I sit my iPhone in the center console, on top of the cup holder screen. That way, it's quick and easy to see who's calling on the incoming call.
