Navigation Package for 2007 TL

I own a 2007 Acura TL without the Naviagtion system. I called my dealer to order a Navi package for my car and I am told that the car must be purchased with the Navigation system. Does anyone know if you can install the factory Navigation system with back-up camera on the 2007 TL's?

Search, plenty of people did this already, and it is expensive!

I would rather go with a Pioneer Avic-Z1 or Z2 with a back up camera, and it will be much cheaper, as well as, you will gain DVD playback, plus a few toys and a hard drive for mp3z....

it is very expensive to convert a non-navi TL into a Navi one. It will require 2+ K in parts alone and then more money for the labor. Harnesses need to be re-routed throughout the entire car, meaning almost everything inside the car needs to be removed.

Where's DMZ?

If you need to ask this question, then do like he says. Trade in your existing vehicle and get one with navi.

It's not quite as drastic as csmeance says, but he's probably trying to scare you from this, rightfully so.

He is correct about it being expensive. There is a kit that can be had for around $1900 (I think), but it does require taking apart quite a bit of your interior.

It is a LOT of work on top of being expensive to convert to OEM Navi.

Here's what I'm wondering:

Redoing the entire navi is PRICEY and ALOT of work.

Putting in a Pioneer GPS would be easier and cheaper. Is it easy to get the top display on the navi TLs and wire it to work? Then I can put in an aftermarket navi and not worry about losing any displays.
