Navigation a little off
Navigation a little off
when I come up to a intersection, the pointer is not yet at the intersection.. after ive driven through the intersection, the pointer reaches it shortly afterwards.. Same thing with bridges going over rivers, I can be just past the river but the pointer is showing I am just about reaching it... has anyone taken their car in for this and if so, what did they tell you/ or what did they have to do to fix it? Thanks..
Depending on how far off you are, it's perfectly normal, Mine runs between 1 and 3 meters off depending on relative speed etc. I just compensate by going to a more detailed view if I need to.
Do a search in this forum for a thread that describes how to get into the Navi troubleshooting screen, in there there's a choice to show how many satellites you're tracking. Any more than 3 and you're fine.

Mine has a slight lag in it also, but I would consider this normal since GPS in accurate to a range of 2-4 meters, which is dependant on antenna location, satellites, etc. Thankfully the DOD removed Selective Availability from the GPS satellites in 2000, otherwise you'd be off by about 100 meters....
