Welcome to the forum... as far as the navi disc, it will never be completely up to date. It takes a long time for people to drive around, add the new information, remove the old, and then compile the disc and program it for use in our cars. (at least a year delay? maybe 2)

www.acuranavi.com is where you will be able to get the updates. If you pull out the DVD in your trunk, it will have the version number.

Of course, as rets said, 3.40 is the newest version, so if you have that you are upto date. If not, you can see what is listed on acuranavi.com and order it. ($185 + Shipping I think)

LOL...

When your car is moving, the satellite will continue to update your location and display where you are on the navigation screen. However, the accuracy of Navigation will rely on the update DVD disc, how many satillites are above you, and environmental factors/conditions.

You could either wait for it or buy later...

As long as we wait for it?

I called the Acura Navigation number that the ACS gave me, 1-888-549-3798.

She told me that 3.40B is not YET available, till Jan 05', and is only for sale, they are not mailing any FREE ones out...she laughed at me asking that...when I said some other TL owners got theirs in the mail for FREE.

So take that one!

I know some people are getting them for free, with no particular critieria. For those that have to pay, how often does an update come out? Yearly? bi-yearly? every 2 years? Also how many roads/hwys can be added in your area in a year that they would pick up? Is it worth $185 each year or maybe waiting a year to see a big change.
