i was playing around in the navi diagnostic screen, i was looking for the screen that told fuel mileage and trip info (which i still havent found, if any of you know where it is) but i was in a screen (unit check, then navi ecu) and my navi started to dowload updated software. i didnt touch anything, it just started doing it. it was kinda wierd it said "downloading updated software do not shut down engine" and a green bar was across the screen filling up as it did its thing. when done it restarted and everything seems to work fine... but now i have a new option under the navi dianosis screen (or at least one i dont remeber)... it says version at the bottom

also under functional setup, there is a trip info, but its shaded and i cant go there? i think thats where the info on fule mileage and all that is loacted?

i tried to search but i didnt get far as these seems like little know areas of our cars

 

fuel mileage/trip info in is the MID on the TL, not in the Navi

 

thanx but i have read that there is additional info contained in the navi system... i read it as little as 2-3 days ago but i cant find the post now... it was in the middle of another post but he spoke of fuel consumption in ml as you drove and what not... i was looking for help with that situation or with my other described event... i was wondering if any one else had ever seen or heard about this... i have never read about this before

Hmmmmm. Dunno. I would hesitate to start playing with daignostic screens. I know there is a self-test that has a progress bar at the bottom, but that's as far as my knowledge goes.
