Im trying to upgrade my current navi disc i have a 2005 tl will i be able to get the newest disc to work with my unit? if not what version would i have to look out for?

 

Just go to Navteq (or through Acura's Navi update link).
Once you fill in the pull-down menus with your car's year and model, the site will only let you put the [correct and current] Orange DVD into the cart.

The newest disc will have all the updates necessary to run itself on your Navi.

So if i update my 06 nav with 2013 update can i expect more than just map and poi updates?
Is the UI updated at all?

The updated DVD will have map/POI updates and some software updates to cure then-known search & routing issues and make the Navi search & routing a little faster and smoother.
However, the UI is not changed or updated in any way.
